Answer the following questions in no less than 300 words but no greater than 1000 words put together...
Character's background (their past and present): Ezra comes from the American Old West some time after the American Civil war. He does not ever make it clear if he fought in the war however it is pretty clear that he romanticizes the South. He may have even supported the Confederates given he may have grown up around Georgia. Again, this is not made clear. What is made clear is that before he joined the Seven he was a professional card shark and what is called a grifter. He was a con artist who got by using his wits to keep himself from being killed in a fight.
He was not one of the first of the Seven to get recruited by Chris Larabee. In fact, the others have had problems with being able to fully trust Ezra. Ezra nearly abandoned the rest of the Seven during the conflict with the gang known as the Ghosts of the Confederates who had been raiding a Seminole village.
Later Ezra ended up joining the Seven defending a small town known as Four Corners. A judge by the name of Orin Travis ended up offering to pay the Seven to act as the law for the town. In Ezra's case it kept the gentleman card shark out of jail. Ezra did not like the fact he had been pressured into staying in town but he had his own motive for staying. What Ezra really wanted was to buy the local bar so that he could run it the way he wanted. This way he would no longer have to run cons when he wasn't working with the Seven. Of course this would not be an easy task as it would cost him a great deal of money.
Matters are further complicated by Ezra's dear Mother. Maude Standish taught Ezra everything she knew. His dear Mother did not quite understand that it was possible for a grifter like her son to want to settle down in one area. She assumed he was going to be running a big con and wanted in on it.
